I have recently decided to start bidding on items. I have always bought BIN items until now. My question is regarding the 1 hour warning for auctions that are about to close. As someone who lives outside the US I am receiving my advice during the night time hours and wake up to find that the item has already closed. Is it possible to extend the period of advice? Even 6-8 hours would make a vast difference and I can't see that it will have any undue affect on the current process. Please let me know if I'm wrong, it won't be the first time.

    At the moment, we don't have an option to change when you receive the notifications which let you know an item you have bid on is about to end. However, if you sign in to the Members Area, at the top of the Summary and Buying pages, you'll see a note "I am bidding on X items that end in the next 24 Hours". So you could check this page earlier in the day to get a quick overview.
