The World Wrestling Federation and the World Wildlife Fund have teamed up to endorse stamps highlighting endangered animals. Here is the 1st issue with the new WWF logo:
Well, duh! If animals are depicted as whacking another over the head with a chair, it seems to be promoting endangering species rather than protecting them.
Here's a little trivia. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) was using the "WWF" moniker before Titan Sports changed its name to World Wrestling Federation and began using the "WWF" moniker for itself. In 1994, the World Wildlife Fund threatened trademark infringement against Titan Sports. They settled prior to going to court. World Wrestling Federation changed its name to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
Seems the WWF takes endangered species seriously! It would be more appropriate to have that panda bear smacking Hulk Hogan over the head!
