Have you noticed?

As I have been travelling around the information highway lately I have noticed a lot of ads from HipStamp. They are quite nice, just 3 or 4 items from sellers tucked nicely away in a corner or at the top. I was noticing that there were a lot of sellers selling the same things as I and I was a little jealous. Then I noticed they were MY listings! Golly gee, I'm famous. I wonder if HipStamp is going to let me know when I get a sale from the outside.

  • Unfortunately those pop-ups are likely because YOU previously looked at your stuff. These smart ads aren't really all that smart.
I get those kinda ads a TON on Facebook from my other business. It always asks me: Still interested? And it shows my very own item. :(
  • HA! Same with me, Martin. I'm always getting "Still interested?" ads for my own stuff.
  • Trouble is I'm buying my own stuff. This getting old sucks ....but by tomorrow I will have forgotten the whole thing
  • So, the ads work, Ron? LOL
  • Personally I like the idea and think it generates more sales for everyone. While you might see your own inventory pop-up and be annoyed, you need to remember that others who have visited your store will be reminded and might take time to visit and buy again.
  • Strange, "the internet" know all about me. My name, address, SS number, height, weight, preferred cereal...and yet they don't know when I look at my own stuff. No wonder hackers find it so easy. Sigh, I guess I'll still have to stop looking at my own posts.
Ron, maybe you could...you know...I'll show you mine if you show me yours...
    Time to retire-again.
  • i think adclick wants to get a click at any method, so they can charge Mark :-) good to see the advertising though.
  • Did I post that the other day? Oh well, there's a bunch of cheap stuff from this dealer I want to buy .....wait, that's me. Never mind.
