E-mail preferences

I've had my fill of the daily email bombs I receive from HipStamp. They seem tedious and rarely have anything of interest to me. Besides, i spend more than enough time on this site that its unlikely I would miss any of the events or sales. So...do I eliminate these by turning off the 'Newsletter Subscription' button under e-mail preferences? And, if i do that, will I no longer be notified if something in my store sells? I'm hoping these two alerts aren't bundled together under one preference heading.

The Email Preferences page in your account allows you to update your preferences for various different types of emails you may receive from HipStamp. However, transactional emails, such as when an order is placed, do not have preferences - as these can not be turned off, and are always sent.
