Private ID Numbers

Can anyone tell me what the impact would be if I inadvertently use identical private ID numbers?

Nothing, I use them all the time as a locator.

I could be wrong, but I thought, if you use the same private ID number on a new listing while the old listing is still active, you will replace the old data with the new. Perhaps that's just if using the bulk lister. Hopefully someone can clarify this.

If you are manually listing an item, Private IDs are simply for your own record, and have no impact on anything. However, if you are using our Bulk Lister, you can only have 1 listing per Private ID, and if you upload a new Bulk Lister file with the Private ID of an existing item, it would replace/update the original listing.

I went and downloaded my listings and found 7 duplicate private id "numbers'. I changed those 7. And I upload with Bulk Lister. But I also more frequently use List Similar.
