Clearly some are labels and revenues and most are in poor condition, but hoping to learn something about them. Thanks.

  • Doug, the top one is a Japanese revenue (general revenue, not a specific type) for ¥100, issued around 1948 or a little later. Depending on the paper, it's either Shimomura 115 or 115A (115A is a white paper; not sure what kind of paper it's supposed to be otherwise). Of minimum catalog value. 115: ¥50; 115A, ¥30.
  • You bet! (And, as an aside, I am really diggin' the design of that Benelux cigarette tax stamps. ... I don't know if that's really what it is, but just inferring from context. Very attractive design!)

    Doug,
Your 'd' is the Swiss 1920 05 rappen from the UPU set. There are varieties. I think this to be Zumstein Nr.77a. priced in my old SBK at CH9 (US$10.)
  • Second from top is Belgium Scott 19. There are perforation varieties. Bottom stamp is Netherlands Scott B89.
  • The Italy Colonies green 2L stamp is listed in the Barefoot Revenue catalog. $2 or so in value. appears fairly worn.
  • Thank you all! These have been frustrating. And Jerold, the Belgium #19 baffles me! How could I miss it? So used to Leopold II, I guess.
