Doug, the top one is a Japanese revenue (general revenue, not a specific type) for ¥100, issued around 1948 or a little later. Depending on the paper, it's either Shimomura 115 or 115A (115A is a white paper; not sure what kind of paper it's supposed to be otherwise). Of minimum catalog value. 115: ¥50; 115A, ¥30.

Doug, Your 'd' is the Swiss 1920 05 rappen from the UPU set. There are varieties. I think this to be Zumstein Nr.77a. priced in my old SBK at CH9 (US$10.)
