Afraid to buy by bid because no shipping cost is provided

Hi All: I'm relatively new to this site and so far I've been happy with my purchases - I collect two types of topical stamps and have picked up some very nice items here. One thing is bothering me, though. When I put Buy It Now items in my cart, I can ask for a shipping estimate and delete the items that have outrageous shipping fees. But I don't see how to determine the shipping cost on items I bid at via auctions, which is making me very reluctant to purchase this way. Is there some way to find this out before bidding and being at the mercy of the seller if I win the item?

When you open the item, on the same screen as where you place your bid, click on shipping up on top for that information.

Ron, is clearly, on a weekend roll,,,,the Aeroflot ticket was probably just,,,,a little,,,,too much to handle. Plus the new VAT taxes are a bit of a problem too.
