Yet another update "improvement"

"The Staff" posted a message (closed to responses) that said in part;
" Once the update goes live, our system will automatically leave positive seller feedback on new and existing orders after 45 days if you have not left feedback yourself." A few questions for "The Staff":
1. Will you be making the same change for buyers in the near future: If not, why not? Wouldn't that " continue to add value to both buyers and sellers"?
2. How do you know that there is not a negotiation still in progress concerning this order. Paypal allows 180 days to make a claim and then 20 days to resolve the dispute - far more than the 45 days that Hipstamp allows for feedback.
3. Why is it more important that a buyer receive positive feedback than a seller? Are buyers more inherently honest than sellers?

I suppose there are many more questions. The most troubling is that "other site" has a reputation of favoring buyers over sellers. Is Hipstamp moving to change the level playing field we are used to?

  • There are a couple orders in the past year that I never received.

    I intentionally opted not to leave any feedback, rather than leaving neutral or negative.

    I assume the delivery issues that plagued everyone during COVID was the most likely cause, and didn’t want to punish the seller. But nor did I want to leave a positive, since I didn’t actually receive the items.

    Leaving no feedback at all seemed to be the fairest solution, at least in my mind.
  • I have also not left feedback when I felt a dealer didn't earn a good response, but didn't deserve a bad one either. Ah, now I have the wonderful freedom of no choice at all....

    I agree with Scott Kramer's comment. The feedback should be left alone, it's up to the buyer/seller to leave a comment or not.
