I recall that some years ago several bags of mail during WW2 were found in GPO Bermuda that had never been censored or put back on the plane.

Looking at the image , it seems to be in remarkably good shape , it must have been in an enclosed , protected concealed place …wish we knew that detail .

Hermetically sealed in a pickle jar and stored behind a set of Funk & Wagnall's dictionaries....likely. It is a cool story though. Imagine getting something like that in the mail tomorrow.
