I have a stamp that is nicely centered and in excellent condition. It has a hole punch cancel. How much does that detract from its value?

Need to know what stamp you have. Hole punched examples of most stamps are usually remainders, and sell for much less.

Punched holes usually indicate cancellations of stamps used to pay for telegraph services, and are valued at maybe 20% of a postally cancelled stamp (ie about 5% of catalog value).
