Yvert & Tellier Catalogue Question (that likely applies to other catalogues as well)
My ability to read French comes from my knowledge of Spanish, so I'm starting from an uneducated position. I just acquired a digital version of the 2020 Y&T France catalogue, and I'm trying to understand their listings. I can grasp most of what they are presenting, but I'm struggling with a few symbols. I believe I know the answer, but I'm looking for validation.
** - Mint Never hinged
* - Mint hinged (or possibly Mint with partial gum)
(*) - Mint no gum
[an almost-completely filled-in circle] - Used
The first two and the last one I'm confident on, but (*) is something I don't recall seeing before. Can someone confirm (or invalidate) my definitions above?
Thanks!
Rob
