  • They're not stamps. Rather they are labels used to ID Registered mail (hence, the 'R'). I'm guessing there's a highly limited amount of collectors that might have interest in them. As far as value goes, I have no idea, but would GUESS its minimal.

Hi - they are not stamps they are "Registered" or "Recorded" mail receipt/labels and would be fixed to the envelope or parcel in a different position away from the actual postage stamps. They are like a receipt showing when you have paid for up-rated or extra insurance cover for your item.

There are some collectors for these but it's not a large area of collecting and very few are that valuable. Probably some very early ones have more value?

No, Ron, you're thinking of arrrrrr labels. They are the same thing, only different.
  • Look for small town names as well...Much like a scarcer postmark. that is where you may find a bit of value.
  • Gentlemen, thank you very much for your knowledge......much appreciated......Peter
  • Not sure if Peter was including our contributions Ted ....but considering the current anxiety, maybe a little levity isn't so bad.
  • Arrrrrr, matey.
