Suspended account

My question is this to hip. Why did they pre bill me over 300.00 on a transaction before it was payed for then suspend my account within minutes after the sale? As it is the holiday season my credit card could not at the time of the sale just minutes ago handle there 300.00 billing, Is there not at least a few days to pay hip there final sale fee? Or do we all have to pre pay for everything me might sell? This is just plain bad business.Has this happened before?

  • Why don't you ask them? Nobody here can do anything even we understood your issue.
  • Everything diverts you from actually contacting anyone its called the no responsibility shuffle,, You cannot contact a human so there is no resolve. to help you Ebay does the same thing even when you get ripped off by fake accounts.
  • It usually takes a day or so for them to get back with me on pretty much everything, but they do. I can't really tell if you are a buyer or a seller from your post. I can't even really tell what the issue is. Pre-bill you for something? Never heard of that. Credit card declined? I get that. In any event, while you might get someone from HipStamp to notice your post here, whatever your issue is will not be resolved in a chat forum. Best of luck to you.
  • Thank you. Maybe someone can answer this is all my adds gone for good or will they come back after this issue is resolved
  • The sale was setup by an Hip Ecommerce sales agent lol
  • Ok, I really think you need to talk with an ECommerce person about this. Still not sure what your issue is. Best of luck.
  • There is a limit per month I think it's $250.00. when you reach the limit they automatically bill you. I know only because it happened to me .
  • Greg, you must be special. I cannot get anyone at the company to respond to my inquiry (tried twice). It seem like everything is falling apart.
  • I wish I could help you Harry but I don't have any different avenues of contact than anyone else.
  • If you submit a lot of obnoxious posts, I can guarantee they will contact you.
  • Train, you didn't sell Cody's million dollar stamp collection, did you? If so, the $300 fee would be just about right.
  • I guess the Train left the station. I still don't have a clue as to what the real beef was here.

I, like Greg, have had quite good follow-up from the Hipstamp administration in matters from auctions, retaliatory feedback, how to handle buyers, etc. I believe they might have even contributed to my behavioral re-training. Not sure just how successful it was, though.
  • Sit, Pavlov, sit!

    Richard,

Your account with us is not suspended (if it were you could not post in our forums), and I understand that our staff has been in communication with you over the issue in question.

It does appear that your store was inadvertently closed due to an issue with updating your card on file with us. Our team has offered to help you re-instate your store, as well as all of your listings, but I understand you have declined their help. If you would like further help with this issue, please continue to follow up with our team.

For general reference to everyone, as indicated in our terms and on the page in which you provide your card on file to us, if your account balance with us is over $250 at any time, your card on file will be charged for your current account balance. However, if your card is declined at any time, your account (and store) would not be instantly suspended. We do provide you with time to resolve the issue and will email you multiple times over a reasonable period of days to resolve the issue. Additionally, if there is an issue with your card, make sure to use the update card option, and not the remove card option, as if you remove your card entirely - this would close your store. If you inadvertently click this option, you're first provided with a confirmation box explaining that your store will close if you take this action.
  • Thanks for the clarification Mark although it seems it never needed to go to a public forum to be resolved.
  • greg yes it did, companies have a legal obligation to provide answers, a few days after the account was closed and whipped i got it. i restarted my account, if i want to sell sometime for 5k i must credit my account $400 first or it will happen again. see i do learn everyday.
