Personally, I like the last example best. I have never seen the Parrot on right shoulder example. I have several with the parrot on the left shoulder. Obviously it is a more common variety!
Richard I sent you a PM yesterday concerning bulk purchase of 231's. Perhaps you didn't see it. Please advise how many you want. I have nearly 1,500 available including many broken hats and a couple of other varieties.
Ted I like the parrot lol, I purchased an experts study collection from Great Britain H.E. Coulson from the twenties, He wrote a Philatelic Magazine on Scott 231. Im adding to it and the study from the 58th American Philatelic Congress book 1992. To add new types they require at least three stamps of that type, Ill be adding new frame line breaks and new hats. Im al so working on plating a complete sheet of just broken hats if at all possible. With the online purchasing I can get them from around the world. Im also collecting fancy cancels just on scott 231 and date cancels just on that stamp trying to get the entire 1st year of use Every day. Wish me luck
I set up a bulk lot of used stamps that include 65 broken hats, a couple other varieties and over 1,400 regular issues discounted to $200.00. If interested you can purchase at https://www.hipstamp.com/store/aworldofstamps
Broken Hat Broken Frame Line in two spots lower right hand side. New find not recorded. This will be a lower plate number with no broken hats recorded to date. Reno this is a sneak peak at a few. Ive been asked to write about my research by the USPCS, Ill be adding an entire new section of finds. Im going to try to get all the information I can find combined into one book if I can.
