Why does Hip Stamp leave automatic positive feedback?
I ordered a set of Greenland stamps from a dealer on 11/24. He is notoriously slow on shipping orders, but I know that. By 12/24 my order still hadn't been shipped. I courteously emailed him and asked when they would be shipped. He replied that he had some health issues and was behind in sending out orders. Okay, that's understandable, and this is only a $15.00 order, so I can wait, I have health issues myself. I keep checking though to see if it's been shipped. (It hasn't). Today I see that Hip Stamp has posted an automatic positive feedback review in my name, and I still have not received the item, This seller has hundreds of negative reviews by other buyers, but has a 98.2% positive feedback rating because of hundreds of automatic positive feedback reviews left by Hip Stamp and not buyers, who are probably still waiting for their own items. Automatic feedback reviews by Hip Stamp inflate the seller's rating artificially and are deceptive to the buyer. Please Hip Stamp, no more automatic positive ratings.

The lack of responsiveness came after the SG debacle.
The Hip Stamps should either increase the time frame to six months or just change the policy back to how it was.
If an item is going to be expertised then the wait time should be a lot longer than 45 days.
I wonder if this was implemented to favor a few of the big time sellers who I see have had mistakes in their listings and so they will not have backlash from the customers.
Totally agree
please don't buy from us if you are going to leave neutral or negative feedback after 30 days because the order has not arrived. our mailing is 24 hour turnaround from receipt of order except for weekends when the post office is closed and..... international mails take around 4 to 6 or more weeks these days, to most countries. maybe you can get 5 days in the US but actually there are overseas sellers here.
next, and for your amusement perhaps ok an exception but we have had a few of these. we mailed an order to a customer in Sweden on 26th May 2020. Yes 2020, That is not a typo. it was returned to us in December 2021. Yes returned “ unable to deliver to country due covid” ok .... with the new rule we got positive feedback as they backdated the feedback. -- actually we get lots of positive feedbacks now before the orders have arrived. recently 7 weeks to Malayasia. only a few hours flight away but .. well you work it out. customer wrote nice feedback as a message .. had a few last week, even more last month. Our fantastic customer know how long the mails take and how fast we process orders . Hipstamp does not. stupid is stupid right.. we can do nothing about it
But for some it is great ..... improving their feedback % . I was poo pood for stating this but it is happening. ... anyone care ???? I guess not......... I just hope the collectors and buyers have the where with all to see through all the garbage and recognise quality sellers... it is going to get worse. I cannot change the mathematics of it.
Greg sums it up nicely. .... so, now back to my tea party ...Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast :-) have a brilliant day Michael cddstamps
PS see the image very very very small sample but it applies even further than these
Get it?
This does not mean you have to get automatically a positive after 45 days, but I will repeat, since it seems one of the six impossible things to understand is that its NOT normal for a dealer to take 45 days to ship NOT to deliver, SHIP! You understand? Think it over while taking your coffee. Have a good day.
