"...back in the U.S.S.R."?
-
Phil & Greg - thank you so much! Scott - mainly British Empire/Commonwealth. Many U.S.
-
Thank you everyone for your thoughtful comments. I can now rest assured...
-
Live and learn! Cheers.

I don't know if this information helps much, but I find it confusing when NFLD issues are categorised as Canada. NFLD did not become a part of Canada until 1948, when its own stamps ceased to 'exist'.
-
Richard - interesting! I forgot to mention he is supposed to be a seller.
-
I shall NEVER attempt to buy from this guy again. I live in Canada, and failed to receive over half a dozen orders placed closely together. Despite his reassurances that he'd mailed them all - nothing. I waited over two months and had almost forgott…

I live in Canada and I am a buyer. I must say in general my stamps are arriving from ALL OVER in a reasonable time. However, can anyone tell me what the situation is like in Tennessee? I have placed numerous orders going back to April, and have rece…

Thanks again George (with apologies to John for his answer) for both of your responses. Thanks also to Michael.
-
Many thanks guys, but neither of you actually answered my questions... Please and thank you.
-
Thank you Mark - but I am aware of this function having used it countless times. This problem relates to the check-out defaulting to U.S. stamps when I've all ready chosen the option you've described...Australia - United States; over and over again!…
-
Rene, no can do I'm afraid. I have all ready followed actions similar to those suggested by Wayne and George. What were your thoughts were I able to send a photo?
-
John - fortunately - on the outside. I love it when vendors adorn the envelopes with older stamps, because I'll either save them complete as postal history, or I'll attempt to lift them off.
-
Did I mention the stamps were on an order sent by a Hipstamp retailer?
-
Ted & George. Wow - you guys are sooo good. I should have known better than to attempt an identification.
-
The postmark is possibly for VILSECK - a town in Bavaria.
-
Michael, what I said to Ted **
-
Ted & Michael, your answers explained Hipstamps' processes in great detail and were very reassuring, for which I thank you both.
-
Kosmo: I use both Vario binders AND pages. I've come so far using this method it's too late (and too expensive) to go to country-specific albums. I like the Vario system because there is no need to buy stamp mounts.
-
Thank Micheal; it seems the content, and intent, of my original post got lost in this lively discussion that followed.
-
Maybe you could start by selecting your countries of interest first. If not by country, then by topic. I would then sort through those categories by date of issue...

I do apologise for not scanning the envelope to add to this post. The stamp in question is the 'Butterfly' stamp which was next to a 'Forever' stamp. The cover itself was 4" x 8" and was mailed to me by a Hipstamp vendor.
-
Again - many thanks. Next time, if there is one, I shall be sure to ask the vendor how this stamp appeared on an envelope next to a 'Forever' stamp.I love collecting the stamps, on and off cover, which vendors use to cover mailing costs. They're a t…

Thanks Richard. Are Global stamps intended for international use?
-
Uhhh, like what Doug writed - I conquer wiv wot he says, cos, like, I'm down wiv good speaking. Seriously Richard, your erudite and articulate explanation was extremely helpful. The letter was sent to Canada. Secondarily, as I've never seen this set…

For my future reference, I have noted your names to ensure I try to buy from you lot when looking at offers from the U.S!! My initial comments related to S & H charges on E-Bay, which I longer patronise...
-
Tania, Carol & Michael, your posts have reinstated my observation that the S & H charges generally seen from the States to Canada is a combination of U.P.U. involvement AND greedy vendors. Shame.
