Item Description

Full mint sheet of 50 - 3 cent stamps issued in 1948 to honor the 100th anniversary of the arrival in Indian Territory, later Oklahoma, of the Five Civilized Indian Tribes: Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Muscogee and Seminole. The stamp shows a map of Indian Territory and the Seals of five tribes. The picture below shows one of the stamps from the sheet. Except for some minor perf separation in the narrow selvedge (including a tiny missing corner), this sheet is as fresh as the day it was purchased at the post office 70+ years ago and is suitable for framing.
