An unused postage stamp printed in 1940 in Switzerland, commemorating the Battle of Sempach, which took place in 1386. It depicts Arnold von Winkelried, a Swiss hero who, according to legend, sacrificed himself at the Battle of Sempach to help the Swiss defeat the Austrians. The stamp was issued as part of a national fundraising campaign for the Red Cross. Its face value is 5+5 centimes, with the additional 5 centimes going to charity.
