Item Description

This is the June 15, 1936, first day cover for sale. Unlike the common values listed in Scott, this particular cover appears to have been a state-endorsed FDC cachet. This cover is neatly addressed in what appears to be a fountain pen ink. (Great pens, until they leak in a shirt pocket.) In addition, the cover includes an Arkansas-shaped enclosure with facts and information about the state to that date. Please watch for additional lots in the coming days, weeks, months... and hopefully not years.

Please note, there is no stray mark connecting the recipient's last name to the word street... just need to clean the scanner a bit more frequently.
