Very nice example of 1948 First Day of Issue of Scott #963 3c stamp "Honoring Young America" declaring September, 1948 to be "Youth Month". Art Craft cachet with photo of children at / leaving school at top and "Honoring The / Youth of America" at bottom. Neatly typewritten address lower right front well below the cancel / stamp area. Open flap on rear with mint-condition gum. Postmarked "WASHINGTON / D. C." at top / bottom with "AUG 11 / 9 AM / 1948" in center.

Front and rear of cover are clean. Clean FDC postmark; does not obscure stamp in any way. Minimal discoloration due to age and handling. See actual image(s) for further information.
