Item Description

Hong Kong. An old postcard showing the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) building in Hong Kong. The building was designed by the architectural firm Palmer & Turner.
The postcard was printed by Kruse & Co., Hong Kong. The inscription reads "Greetings from Hong Kong". This is a Union Postale Universelle postcard from Hong Kong from the early 20th century. Sender/Recipient: Addressed to Mrs. Anne Wichmann in Heiligenhafen, Germany.
Stamp: A four-cent Hong Kong postage stamp depicting Queen Victoria is used. Date/Postmark: There is a Hong Kong postage stamp that probably dates from the period 1862-1903, when similar stamps were in circulation.
