Ireland (Éire), Scott #285, used(o), 1970, 50th Anniversary of the Death of Terence MacSwiney (1879-1920), Lord Mayor of Cork who died during the Irish War for Independence, MacSwiney was imprisoned by the British for Republican sympathies and died after a 73 day hunger strike, his death helped move English public opinion against the war in Ireland, 9 pence, Scott 2019 catalog value: 50¢. Nicely centered, very light, non-descript, scattered cancellation makes on the left border of the stamp and clear of the main image, sound back, 5mm green stain at bottom right corner when viewed from the back, stain comes through to the front, good perforations; centering and cancellation warrants a selling price premium. This is not a 'bait and switch' offer. The stamp you see will be the one you receive.
