Rhodesia 1916 Quitrent Receipt with Admiral 7/6d fiscally Used .Usual flaws. Very attractive.A Quitrent is paid by a freeholder in lieu of a service. In Rhodesia it was levied on farms granted to early settlers and members of the expeditionary force to Matabeleland, as well as land bought from the British South Africa Company. The annual fee and duty on Quitrent receipts both varied with the size of the farm and the type of grant or purchase. A duty of 7sh6p was levied on farms of over 500 morgens (10,500 acres), which most land grants were.Pursuant to the guidelines for all sales of tangible goods, taxes will be collected and remitted to the appropriate tax authorities. Possible Customs charges, depending on the rules in force in the country of destination. All lots are guaranteed.
