Early 1900s "franklin mazda lamps" promotional poster stamp - stamp is about 2 5/8 x 1 7/8 inches - an interesting piece of history; mazda was a trademarked name registered by general electric (ge) in 1909 for incandesent light bulbs. The name was used from 1909 through 1945 in the united states by ge and westinghouse.
Note: the stamp shown in the scans may not be the exact stamp you will receive, however it will be a similar stamp in equal or better condition.
Similar stamps are featured in the Poster Stamp Collectors Book "Lick 'Em Stick 'Em, The Lost Art Of Poster Stamps" by H. Thomas Steele, 1989 Edition. This is part of a large advanced collection assembled by the late Leonard Stark, who was a significant expert, collector and contributor to the Lick Em Stick Em Book.
