birdtheme.org has a wonderful database of bird stamps listed by country, family, species, etc. Here are two links that should get you started with the owls. http://www.birdtheme.org/mainlyimages/index.php?s=80 and http://www.birdtheme.org/mainlyimag…

Here's a link to a discussion I had on another website regarding this issue. https://stamporama.com/discboard/disc_main.php?action=20&id=8347#56373

Thank you to the Hipstamp staff for implementing this feature. Another thanks to Steven Tomisek, with the initial request! Just when you guys thought all hope was lost

It would be very helpful for the buyer to be able to add a note on individual items in their watchlist. I like to put a catalog value down if I'm not quite ready to bid on an auction or make an offer. This saves me from having to go back and look up…

I'm no expert, but looking at the catalogue these have minimal value. The three with a rectangular perf are from the Schermack Co. The other 1c looks like a regular perforated issue. The 2c with 5 holes could be a Mailometer Co. perf. -Les

Jerry, WHAT SEARCH TERM WOULD I USE TO BRING ATTENTION TO THESE ITEMS? As I stated in a previous post it is not my intention to harm the seller in any way. I never claimed I was an expert, but it doesn't take much common sense to see an unaccepta…

Moderators please close this thread and delete, or at the least remove references to the dealer. I created this post out of frustration that some have had. I'm not trying to hurt the seller, but after trying to contact them there didn't seem to …

A post of mine in another thread a few hours ago before tonight's auction - Please be careful when bidding on this material. Many are misidentified, as I had stated in a previous post. Some of these are not even close! https://www.hipstamp.com/li…

The two listings in question have been updated to reflect the current condition of the stamps. I applaud the seller!!

Here's a couple of images I saved from Thursday's auction. These are clearly different stamps.

Hi Mark and Wayne. I sent a question last night to the seller about that exact listing. I have not heard back. I believe it is the same stamp, it's just been damaged since it was graded. There's no way it would be a 95 at this point. Here's anot…

Those auctions are from Rosenberg-Philatelics. I would exercise some caution when considering to bid on their certified stamps. Make sure the scan of the actual stamp and the certificate match. There were a few that ended tonight that didn't. Also,…

Need to know what stamp you have. Hole punched examples of most stamps are usually remainders, and sell for much less.
-
Just Google "Old stamps, Old stamps, Please I need help with the value, Old stamps", and you will have your answer!
-
How is a seller allowed to change something after bids have already been placed? The correct thing to do is end the auction early and relist with the proper description and photos!

I think Ted is being very helpful.

Are there any sniping programs available for Hipstamp? If not there should be.

Thank you Doug for your encouraging words!!

Hal, you need to read this entire thread. You are way off base. Your bashing of Stuart is unfortunate.
-
The first stamp is a parcel post issue from Afghanistan and the image is upside down. Scott states that ungummed stamps of this type are remainders. The second stamp appears to be some sort of label or poster stamp. As for the others I'm not quite s…

For 766 and 767 from Scott - "Positive identification is by blocks or pairs showing wide gutters between stamps. These wide gutters measure, horizontally, 13mm.
