  • I'll second the support for HipSportsCards. I've been sitting on a pile of graded cards for quite a while, waiting for a solution that isn't that other place.
  • I just checked mine (I have a Basic subscription as well), and mine is laid out the same as Dave's. I have the address and payment settings below the Store Logo section. I agree ... that seems a bit weird on first glance.
  • My approach is similar to Michael Generali's suggestion. I just filled an order this morning for $0.55, with $1.00 s/h. While to some that s/h cost may seem excessive (especially given the ability to purchase discount postage), it covers (1) shipp…
  • (edited to further apologize for having this appear under the "Bugs" category ... if the Moderators want to move this to a more-appropriate place, that would be appreciated. RW) I apologize for resurrecting this thread from so long ago, but I'm ge…
  • Apologies for the apparent divergence from the primary request, but I consider this to be complementary to what George asked for, so I don't think I'm being that much of a jerk. If others see it otherwise, I do apologize. As a seller, I'd like som…
  • Mark I appreciate the detailed answer, along with the example. It gives me what I was looking for. Rob
  • Andrew Thanks for the confirmation. I appreciate the timely response. Rob
  • I've answered my own question. It appears that they do indeed have digital options (assuming I trust the way that Google translates their website, of course). For those of you who may be interested, their website is www.yvert.com.
  • Richard Thanks for the detailed (and timely) response. Switching gears ... does anyone know if the Y&T catalogues are available in digital format? Possibly on a subscription basis? A quick google search didn't tell me much of anything. Rob
  • When did this get added? I've been wanting this for a long time, but didn't know it was available. Also, thanks to @Michael Generali for pointing out where he found it.
  • Franz I know the feeling. While I don't have nearly the level of sales that you do, I received my first (and only) negative a while back for something that truly was my fault, but that I made "right" with the buyer. I commented then that I wished…
  • @Rod Tilyard - thanks for posting those images. I knew about the feedback filters, but hadn't seen the "View My Store" button at the bottom of the page. That'll save me some time.
  • John Thanks for that info. I appreciate it. It is quite helpful. Rob
  • Robert - there is a setting you can change that adjusts the space around each stamp. Under Tools | Settings | Bounding Boxes, you can adjust the value shown in "Bounding Box Padding" up or down to use more or less space around each image.
  • To follow up on Ted's comments, I use Jason's software extensively. There is a way to "conjoin" stamp images automatically, within a few parameters. For example, if you have a sheet with five rows of stamps that are all part of the same set, the s…
  • Mark ... thanks for the quick reply. Would you consider adding this to the request list? I'd like to be able to use promotion codes in this manner, but if the buyer still has to cover the shipping costs, it sort of defeats the purpose. Thanks Rob
  • Mark - thanks for adding this functionality. I agree with the earlier comments about the uncertainty, and this solves that issue. Rob
  • Agreed. When I set vacation mode, it is typically for less than a week, but I'm coming up on a longer trip, and I don't want people to become discouraged with non-receipt of something they purchase early in my travels.
  • Carol I'm not having any issues getting it to open for me (I also use it regularly, and can't imagine what the process would be like without it). I have it on two separate machines. One I don't use very often, and that is the one I tested on (the…
  • I've found this entire thread fascinating, and quite informative. I'm going to add a different voice to the conversation. A bit of background on me ... I am in my late 40's, and I'm the stereotype of a hobbyist. I had been struggling for quite a …
  • "Any listing not currently available for sale is closed." Just to clarify, does that mean auction items that ended with no bids are included in the population used to determine the HipValue? I understand that the algorithm may reduce the importanc…
  • @Paul - I think the price point is the average, not the median. It just worked out that the example given had an average close to the mid-point. @Mark - can you clarify for me what "Closed" on a listing means? I saw some that listed the number of…
  • Speaking for myself, it almost doubles the time it takes to load stamps into HipStamp. Scanning is BY FAR the most time-consuming part of listing for me (I use the Bulk Lister, and tend to load 50-100 listings at a time). I have no idea how much o…
  • Just to provide an update on the need for this ... I e-mailed the buyer, apologized, took responsibility, refunded his money, and sent a replacement stamp. The buyer e-mailed back, and accepted my apology (along with my solution). I'm comfortable …
  • I've used (and still use) the Stamp Image Bursting software, and can tell you it SIGNIFICANTLY changed how quickly I can get stamps scanned and loaded. I'm not saying that it is now push-button, but creating the individual images is much easier now…
  • This sounds a lot like the problem I was having with Bulk Lister. My original listings had the wrong image name, but uploading a new file with the correct image name didn't load the image (I also had the images loaded in Image Manager). To fix my …
  • I have an update. I rather quickly realized that within my Bulk Upload template, I hadn't added the ".jpg" to the end of the image name I was trying to upload. I corrected that within my .csv file, and re-uploaded. This did not correct the proble…
  • I've not seen where expertizing is accounted for within the HipStamp data structure. Over on HipComic, there is a dedicated field for it in the upload (item_specifics_05_certification), but I haven't seen that type of field as part of the HipStamp …
  • Mark I'd like to bring this back to the forefront. I have a number of listings that are best described as either a "Collection" or an "Accumulation". An example of this is a run of Seychelles stamps from 1968-1976. Another is a large number of d…
  • Here is what I did ... I did a search for "US 2193" in the main search. It brought up 137 listings. I then clicked on "United States" under categories. This may seem foolish, but by getting into the categories, I am then able to access the select…
