Ralph you are doing a favor by alerting the seller to a potential error so they should fix it and update it. I suppose some might be lazy or do not want to admit the mistake (continue to keep a fraudulent knowingly inaccurate listing) which makes y…

Dave, this is awesome thanks for posting. Ted’s videos are great, we are lucky to have him in the Hip community.
-
Funny but take a piece of thin foil and gently press an eraser over it to make the indentation but best to be gentle. Rene, you should upgrade to a fish grilling basket btw.
-
Well you could use an aluminum foil technique.
-
Ted, your covfefe mug appears to have a large tear.
-
Yes good point Michael, most of those have been used.
-
Fascinating details Ted, another excellent video!

You seem to be describing the stamps reasonably it’s hard to please everyone when there are so many different opinions. I guess the norm would be MNH only without faults including disturbed gum. Who doesn’t love the term, “Post Office Fresh.”

Ron would be amazed even the stamps these days are enhanced on botox or viagra

Hi Rory, Very nice cover with the machine Canada flag cancel I believe they were first used in 1896-1898. I've seen them on the Jubilee and Queen Victoria issues. http://www.bnaps.org/hhl/newsletters/flags/fp-1996-03-v009n03.pdf

Ted terrific work, look forward to the next episode. I agree with Mark can imagine you displaying a US 4880 Jimi Hendrix and letting loose on the guitar.

Online is a game changer for stamp collecting as it makes collecting and exchanging global and much easier. I've read estimates of up to 30 million plus collectors worldwide so North America maybe represents 30% of that number. Curious what others…

It was a mistake yes I got Marilyn Monroe so no complaints here sorry Joe.

They go for about $10-$18 but the error is worth around $5000.

Lee, when you are doing that many auctions you are bound to make a few mistakes. I’m sure they will resolve any issues. They have sold many very fine US stamps. As for buying rarer US stamps without certification, you are almost always taking a g…

Thanks Ted worked like a charm!

Maybe I should have been clearer I’m trying to search a store for stamps that has tons of FDC listings. Is there a way to view only stamp listings within the store.
-
The stamp appears to be US 2875
-
Looks canceled on the front therefore used.
-
John, I experienced several times over the years. Sellers should be careful as to what they post. Perhaps give forgiveness once.
-
Curious what the actual site policy is as I think auction errors stand firm.

The truck icon should be grey if not shipped, turns green when marked as shipped and blue when received. It would be nice for them to add the date initially shipped as previously mentioned.
-
If you look at your order and the truck icon is green it indicates the seller has shipped assuming they update the ticket.
-
You can do it for free in a spreadsheet or the old fashioned way keep booklets/notepads of the numbers, etc.
-
Some of the expert re gummed stamps can be difficult to tell especially on US stamps. The best way to tell is closely examine the gum on the perforations (sheets were gummed before perforating). How we wish unscrupulous collectors or dealers would…

How to make a million dollars in the stamp business? You start with two million. Martin it all depends on how you value your time. Perhaps open a store and sell very part time and weigh your results.
