Ive inherited one of those also, they are fun to have, from a bygone era. It's fun to just see how things were presented in the 1930's. Keep it as a family souvenir.

First go over one key to the right...( sorry, sorry , could not residd).

Shows for me are often a time to be in a "happy space"...but few of them these days. Sometimes I find what I want. Most of the time it takes me back to the brick and mortar era. It will be interesting to see how it all is in 20 years.

Hmm...I was just thinking about that this morning.... It's been fun and informative for sure. Let me cull another date. I will be out of country half of March (Argentina) but let's see.

Greg , good question

Poof !! Hipstamp, thank you !
-
Hey , that one stamp was a “ swing for the fences “ attempt , if they sell just that one , then suddenly we shall see thousands of other sellers list it at that price !

Agree . The magnitude of the absurdity displayed really reeks of ignorance I think . I’m mean who would be dumb enough to spend that type of money on the items displayed? The test for me really is how HS responds .

I sent the seller a message directing them to properly assess or value their merchandise. Sometimes it's a teen with an adult looking over their shoulder, who knows nothing giving them advice. Let's see.

You know, that's too bad. They presented the images acceptably...but trying to sell fillers worth pennies like that is just dumb, plain dumb. I'm not sure they are self-aware in general. I'll report it also.

Well I just leaned a new term...and I like it! Vade Mecum....

Scott, I for one , am sorry that you had all that name calling directed towards you in another thread. You are a direct, straight shooting kind of guy. I appreciate that as do many others here. You are a meticulous fellow. Thank you for ALL the help…

Looking at the image , it seems to be in remarkably good shape , it must have been in an enclosed , protected concealed place …wish we knew that detail .

That is impressive… probably fell behind something in the post office and hid for over a century … great story !

Based on what has been posted , the value is not monetary, but rather the family memory of the collector here . It can be disappointing to discover that many old collections reflect the common items of that era .Age does not equal value . Keep it as…

I would just absorb the fee. It's not a lot of money, and not worth the headache or hassle. BUT never do business with this individual again.

Wow, that is psychedelic ....

That seller is also called out in several posts by expert philatelists . ( people I respect )
-
That is very peculiar, likely sold in another arena ( eBay), but yes, explanation needed .
-
How hard is it to scan and post ? The link wants your Spectrum email and password… don’t give that away .

This issue contains the first "standards" for internet sale and mailing of philatelic material I have ever seen. Well done, so needed. Outstanding. The W/F sections is a gem, and Greg's designation as Bentleys Human made me crack a smile..... I can …

That is not rare , as the Germans printed hundred of millions . The expanded Reich ( Poland in this case) paid Adolph a royalty if his image was used , resulting in quite a windfall for him . Hitler was a very wealthy man , bleeding the treasury of …

There is a skyrocketing market for "Nazi" overprints, concentration camp overprints. The people who sell them on eBay are not real ethical folks. In fact , they can be the dregs of sellers out there. I've approached a number. Most are simply challen…
