Without images it is hard to tell what you have? J32 earliest use was October 30th 1894 and used examples have a scott value of $10 in the 2019 book. If you are sure about the year then is it possible your looking at J23 issued in 1891 and has a used value of $2?
I think you really to invest in a set of catalogs, Scott probably and learn how to use them. Many, if not most, of your questions here can be easily answered. They may prove to be more valuable than the stamps themselves for you. Just my opinion. Take it for what it's worth.
