The Photo shows the cancel on one of my first Internet First Day Cover sales around 4 years ago. It's not a particularly old cover - dated 1969 - but it proved to be a scarce one. 1969 Hong Kong Chinese University 40c single stamp issue. The superb cancel produced by the University "Cung Chi College" made this cover rare and I sold it to a collector in Hong Kong. The price realised was £411.00 plus shipping.

I have also noticed that when I did a % off promotion on eBay the sync used to transfer across the % reduction to Hipstamp. This no longer happens.
-
I agree - what's all the fuss about?
-
Cody, if the catalogue value of your stamp collection is $1,000,000 when you come to sell it you will be extremely lucky to realise 10% of it.

"High five" Phil.

I think that 45 days is a reasonable period of time after which Hipstamp should (and now do) step in. Usually domestic orders are delivered well within 10 days and international ones in 30 days. If there is no issue with the order then the buyer c…

In my case I used the word credibility only because I have/had such a low feedback score and potential buyers may take this into account when thinking about placing an order with me? Because of my F/B score they may not regard me as an experienced …

I'm only small time but until Hipstamp decided to do this I only had a feedback score of 103 now it's 363 which hopefully adds a little bit more credibility to my listings? So before this some 70% of my buyers could not be bothered to leave me any …

Thank you Michael. I suppose that part of the problem is fear? My titles at present work well for eBay but If I change them will I gain a small increase in sales on Hipstamp but a reduction in my level of sales on eBay? Proven methods on eBay do …
-
Well Michael the title of this post is about eBay syncing! What you fail to grasp is that when listing an item on Ebay the item title and item "specifics" are the most important factors in getting sales. I follow these factors/rules and achieve 99%…

Michael, I'm with Jerry on this one. I sometimes ask myself why I bother with Hipstamp? OK I mostly sell covers with a higher average item price of around £4+ as opposed to stamps at 25p to 50p each but sales on eBay greatly outstrip here with a ra…

FROM YESTERDAY'S BANNER UPDATE: "......However, we are currently prevented from automatically closing corresponding listings on eBay and importing new listings from eBay due to a NON-TECHNICAL issue." So Ebay and Hipstamp ARE "at loggerheads" …

I can confirm that the EBAY > HIPSTAMP sync is now working correctly and removing inventory from Hipstamp as it is sold on eBay. I still don't know about the HIPSTAMP > EBAY sync because as usual no recent sales here?
-
Not agreed to pay eBay what they want!!!!!! ...........................?
-
Great, everything is back to normal then? I suppose the period of "high anxiety" for sellers is now over? Well is it Hipstamp????????????????????
-
Yes Bay UK. I renewed my sync token yesterday but it's still not working quite right?
-
Very sorry but the sync is now only working one way. Items I have listed on eBay today have been uploaded to Hipstamp but a cover I sold today on eBay I had to manually delete on Hipstamp.........................not good!!!
-
Today sync is now working for uploading new listings TO Hipstamp - Have not sold anything today yet so I don't know if it's removing inventory when sold again?
-
I have had to manually delete all my ebay sales over the last 2+ weeks on Hipstamp as none have been automatically removed and there was a serious risk of duplicate sales of already sold items.
-
Yes Jerry - switched over to ebay managed payments last March after leaving it until the last moment under the threat of eBay cutting off my ability to list anything new on my 100% F/B score and Zero defects account. In the UK sellers only gain sli…

Wow!.....American eBay stores are cheaper and better value than UK ones. I have a UK Featured store £69/month (£80.20 including tax) and get just 1500 free listings and 300 free auction listings + a £10 packing voucher each month. Extra fixed price…

I said the following on page 1: "Perhaps eBay and Hipstamp have had a "fall out" over commission/fees for the sync service. I don't think it all happens for free.........................does it?" It did occur to me when I first joined Hipstamp …

The last 6 days none of my new listings have been syncing or uploaded from eBay over to Hipstamp. Being the corporate monster that eBay is they are probably trying to put Hipstamp out of business or weaken them for a takeover? If it does get corre…

Perhaps eBay and Hipstamp have had a "fall out" over commission/fees for the sync service. I don't think it all happens for free.........................does it?

It all might have been just a simple error???

I was looking at it purely from a business point of view. In hindsight - you are right - I should have kept it.

Welcome Kris and good luck with your endeavours. I agree with you that they should issue a set of stamps for Neil Armstrong. I have a story for you about a signed Fleetwood 1969 First Men on the Moon Apollo 11 First Day Cover. These are quite comm…

No sales = No feedback, that's the position I'm in. Jacques is right about the % that even bother to leave any feedback
-
Yes I purchased some "bankrupt business stock" GB Machin 1st. Class stamps on eBay recently which turned out to be counterfeit. I reported the seller to ebay and other buyers left counterfeit stamps feedback but eBay still have not taken down these …

Hi Grace. I mainly deal in Great Britain First Day covers and as Rene Bravo states sales of FDC's on this site are - in my experience - not as good as stamps sales. I also sell on eBay and sell 95% more FDC's than on Hipstamp. Saying that I get more…
