  • Been away for while and just got done perusing most of the 200+ comments in this string. Quite interesting, humorous and, ahh, 'informative'. Especially the punctuation talk. Anyone yet interested in ending this string now with a period?
  • Also, a couple of other things to check, if you haven't already. Next to the list of your purchases on the Member Area are two icons. The first has a dollar sign; it turns green when you have paid. The second has an image of a truck and when the …
  • In my experience it's not possible to tell when the item(s) were actually sent out. I've received items that were sent on the day the icon was clicked (as verified by the postmark when the date is discernable) and I have received items that were sh…
  • All terrific suggestions. Also, depending on where you live there may be a local stamp club or two within a short distance. Many meet on a monthly basis and the members represent a broad spectrum of collectors of all ages, experience and interests…
  • I've had a similar experience. Maybe HipStamp should add a space on an offer to let us designate an expiration date, so that the offer isn't acidently left out there indefinitely.
  • I'll second John's comments. I have not had a problem. I've always been pleased with their stamps that I have received, the quality and responsiveness of their customer support and the timeliness of their deliveries.
  • I'm thinking that turnover in this business may be an issue too. For the buyer, for example, longer held items may be about to be marked down a little or perhaps put into an auction. Or?
  • Thanks for the explanations, Jeri and George. I really appreciate it. I think this would be useful information for HipStamp to make available. eBay does it for their items.
  • Thanks, Jeri. But I'm still at a loss. I followed your directions and found a 'listings' under both Selling and Buying. Selling shows me 0; I guess because I'm not a seller. Under Buying it seems Listing will show all my previous purchases and d…
  • I've been buying from HipStamp for years and never created or needed a PayPal account. Am I missing something in your question? After designating the stamp(s) I wish to purchase, I click the pay button and am taken to a PayPal page. But I then sc…
  • John said that a dealer may not cancel an order simply because he/she didn't like the results of an auction. I have had that experience as a buyer and reported it. I received an apology for the experience from Hipstamp and an expression of regret.…
  • As in the stamp image barely clears the perforations. The edge of the image is not cut by the perfs, but clears them narrowly, by the smallest of margins, by a whisker, by the skin of your teeth, scarcely. Like I'm barely clearing the end of the m…
  • 750 and 751 were issued with gum. 769 and 770 were originally issued without gum, although (I believe) an original purchaser was given the option to have them gummed by the Post Office Department, if they sent them in. Otherwise, it's my understan…
  • Ted, Andrew - Thanks much for the pointers to solve my dilemma. They worked perfectly.
  • Ted - Sorry I was so imprecise The numbers seem to be on only the White Ace Regular Issues album, for definitives or non-commemoratives.
  • Thanks, Robert C. I think the mystery is solved. According to the folks at Subway, the numbers in the White Ace regular issue albums are White Ace's own listing of the stamps in sequential order and are not in reference to anything else or any cat…
  • I'm the one who posted the question. Taking all your suggestions and after doing some hunting, there's no good news. I have talked to customer support at Amos, Linn's and Alco and it seems no one has the first clue what the numbers are. About 30 …
