If one had an envelope with the Elvis stamp cancelled one day prior to the official release date and marked "Return To Sender", in pristine condition, what would it be worth? Assuming that it was placed in a protective envelope and kept in a safe all these years.

My cat Bentley can smell a fish from miles away and he is on point now. In fact, all three cats are running around acting...well...feline. As if there was a fish nearby. Somewhere....close enough to get a whiff of it.

A couple of decades ago there was a very popular dealers table at most SoCal/L.A. stamp shows. Two gentleman named 'Steve & Dick'. They always had alot of material like Cary has described (& Marilyn Monroe) The covers sold out often at $5.-$10. each.

There were a lot of people that thought they were clever by addressing covers to Heartbreak Hotel, address unknown.
So the covers would get a return to sender rubber stamp.
I'll bet postmasters hated those people.

1. No private sales. If you want to sell it, register and pay for a store like all sellers do.

2. Post a scan of the item, since you're asking a question about it so people can answer your question.

3. Do you have a certificate of authenticity for the piece? Post a picture of that too.

4. If this is a scam, go far, far far away.

Here are links to the photos and the covers are postmarked the day of official release, my mistake on that. They have been stored in a Postal Service Commemorative envelope all these in my safe and and they are in pristine condition. Just right click copy and paste.
