  • Wonderful issue--Scott's article is, as expected, excellent. I also very much appreciated the presentation on packing. This is one of my greatest concerns. Sometimes the packing is so poor and sloppy that it is almost as if the seller wanted to destroy the stamps!!!
  • Thank you Berrien.
And agree... wow, I got a "package" of a partial page of stamps recently that needed an angle grinder to get through the volume of tape, fluffy packaging, more tape, cardboard, more tape, more cardboard, more tape, a large glassine, more tape, another glassine, more cardboard, more tape and then the item... it was really overkill.
I HATE tape around stamps excessive amounts in particular because stick and stamp is a BAD combination!

Yes it is weird. Sometimes packed to excess and then after wading through all matter of protection one all the stamps are in one envelope and squashed together. And then there are cases with no packing, no stiffing--only an envelop with one glassine envelope and several stamps all a jumble!! Crazy. This is a real problem. I now focus on dealers that I can trust to do a good in packing even if it is more costly.

  • I meant:
    one finds all the stamps
  • Berrien, sorry about licking and sticking all those nice Saar MNH Semi-Postals to the outside of the envelope I mailed the statement in. I hope they soaked off ok. I'll never do that again though!!!!!! LOL!!!!
  • Great issue. Always thanks to all involved, but a special thanks to Ted for translating this issue into English.:
  • Greg
I actually left the stamps on the envelope--I just added cork-made, cool swastika cancellations to hide the Texas ones. Looks great!
    Best

  • There ya go then!!!!!
  • Truth be told, I didn’t so much “translate” it as I did transcribe it from ChatGPT.
  • This issue contains the first "standards" for internet sale and mailing of philatelic material I have ever seen. Well done, so needed. Outstanding. The W/F sections is a gem, and Greg's designation as Bentleys Human made me crack a smile..... I can go on but Editor Ted is making it work!

    AGREED!!!

  • Only 2 more installments of the FW... I think I may need to start getting the LBN series ready. (It too, comes with an ID Matrix).
  • Thank you.
