That is the complexity of a machine trying to translate the extremally contextual nature of Japanese Kanji. There isn't anything like it in English...The closest thing I can come up with as an analogy is that of the word "run".
If you're not familiar with this, look it up in a dictionary. There are surprisingly dozens (maybe even 100) definitions of the word "run". So it's use is contextual. Kanji is similar. But almost every kanji is contextual, unlike every word in the English Language.
