The auction event has a US#228 listed as unused. #12857317. To my eyes this is a used stamp. It appears to me there is a manuscript cancel in two straight lines, one horizontal the other vertical, intersecting in the center of the stamp. With less than 24 hours to go I'm not sure what could be done. I'm not trying to disparage the dealer, just hoping everything works out and we have happy collectors who get what they paid for.

  • It sure looks like it has a red manuscript cancel like you described. It appears that it is also listed on Ebay. Have you contacted the dealer?
  • Why do I want to block specific sellers @ various times?
  • I'm not bidding on this. I just wanted to give a heads up.
  • This looks like an honest mistake as that is a used stamp. However, the price is right at $26.00 as it is well centered. I've purchased from Bill before and never had any problems.
  • Ted, I don't think it is appropriate to bash the seller for this listing. That is pretty cruel... He has some great US stamps and sells a lot of course there will be a few complaints.
  • I'm not meaning to stir the pot but I don't see Ted doing the bashing here. He provided a screengrab of other people who were upset at the seller. Ted was only the messenger.
I'm glad there are means to see reviews of sellers like Ted posted, (I've heard other tales of that seller) Some sellers have big red flags and are just bad news.
  • Steve people should not go out of their way to flare other peoples dirty underwear in a forum. Have you bought anything from him? I have and received some good stamps. As I said before looks like an honest mistake. Caveat emptor.
