Please allow me to introduce myself. I am a novice collector. As a kid, I had a stamp album and my parents bought me stamps at Woolworths. I remember orange cloth bags filled with random worldwide stamps that I would soak to remove from paper remnants and put in my album. I also recall buying a few stamps from an HE Harris catalogue. That should date me pretty accurately or just look at my picture. Those childhood stamps are long gone and nearly forgotten now.
Recently, my brother, who is way more organized than me, told me he had come across his old stamp album and started going through it and updating it with better quality stamps. So, I thought I'd look into it too. Being stuck at home by the CoViD virus motivated me even more. My bro also told me about Hip Stamp as a good source and here I am.
I haven't yet made a firm decision as to what my niche will be, other than US postage. I am drawn to a few areas including, airmail, booklets, covers/FDCs, and the civil war.
That's my story.
