January 28, 1845 Philadelphia letter from George T. Campbell sent to James T. Hale in Bellefonte Centre County Pennsylvania. Letter discusses legal matter. "The case to which you refer was tried .... before Judge Kennedy ... the Supreme Court." "The Judge charged the jurists in favor of the plffs (abbreviated plaintiffs). Verdict was so rendered." "The argument then cannot be heard before March or April hopefully not until the next term." The handwriting is difficult in this letter due to abbreviations and scripting.
