This unaddressed Samoan First Day cover, commemorating the '10th Anniversary of the Man on the Moon / First Step on the Moon,' was franked by a 14s Landing Module & Astronaut issue of 1979, Scott 508. The stamp is tied to the envelope by an 'Apia, W. Samoa' circular first day of issue handstamp.

The cachet, in concordance with the stamp, depicts the Landing Module with an Astronaut on the Moon' surface..

Verso is covered with an account of the lunar landing and includes the Fleetwood Golden Jubilee logo.

The backflap is un-sealed and intact. No contents.
