1794 great britain stampless folded letter with 5 in script at center --- addressed to mr. Edward jones, attorney, llandovery, carmarthenshire, wales (uk) --- black bristol single-line cancel on back flap --- 36.2 in script on back flap --- seal is present with hole cut in corresponding back flap --- letter is dated bristol, july 23, 1794, and begins, sir --- the writer says, "i intend being at l[l]andovery about the 9th next month"

He continues, "shall do myself the pleasure of waiting on you for the purpose of settling my demand on mr. Walter phelps's estate" --- signed, your compliance will oblige, sir, your very humble servant, ? Bartlett --- mr. Edward jones, attorney, llandovery in script at lower left --- small hole at center-left of unfolded letter --- creases from folding;  dark strip across bottom or sides is the plastic holder in the scan
