1862, 5¢ blue, Archer & Daly printing, on Turned Cover sent by Stonewall Jackson's Personal Chaplain to his wife who flipped the cover and sent it back to him (Scott 7), horizontal pair with full margins all around, tied by two strikes of "Richmond VA Sep. 8" circular datestamp on cover with "Commonwealth of Virginia Executive Department (Official Business)" imprint at top left, addressed to "Mrs. A.P. Hopkins, Hampden Sidney College, Prince Edward Co. VA" then turned and franked with 1863 10¢ blue (Scott 12) bright and fresh with pen cancel on side flap of cover with manuscript "H.S. College, VA Sept. 12/(18)63" cancel and addressed to "Rev. A.C. Hopkins, Chaplain 2nd Regt. Va. Vols, Stone Wall Brigade, Johnson's Division, Ewell's Corp, A.N.V. (Army of Northern Virginia), Extremely Fine, ex Randy Neil, signed Trish Kaufmann.

Albert Crump Hopkins was the Chaplain of the 2nd VA Regiment, General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson's Brigade. He graduated from Hampden Sydney College in 1855 and was a Presbyterian minister. He was commissioned Chaplain of the 2nd VA infantry and was later promoted Chaplain of the entire 2nd Corps of the Army of Northern Virginia and during this time was Stonewall Jackson's personal Chaplain.
