Item Description
Grade: UngradedWellington, Ohio (Lorain Cty. 1821-open), county name cogged rubber handstamp on 3 cent banknote to Massachusetts, originally sent to Goshen, MA, then Easthampton, then finally Berkshire, with "adv. Sept. 10" and "unclaimed" manuscript markings at left. Minimal reduction at left, a bit of staining, and a small triangular cut at bottom, a bit left of center. Original letter content (datedlined Pittsfield, Lorain Cty. 1832-1904) remains, with interesting commentary about running an ice cream stand at a county fair. Neat usage of a county marking. Your satisfaction is guaranteed. APS member since 1992. Please consider joining the American Philatelic Society!
