Postal Route & Markings From: Xenia, Illinois To: Mound City, Kansas Sending Postmark: Xenia, ILL., circular date stamp dated November 25, 1890 (Tuesday) at 3 PM. Receiving Postmark: Mound City, KA., "REC'D" circular date stamp on the reverse, dated November 27, 1890 (Thursday) at 11 AM. Transit: The cover traveled approximately 350 miles over a period of about 1.5 days. Postage: A 2-cent stamp paid the first-class letter rate.
