Here is a mint example of the 4¢ "Fleet of Columbus" stamp, part of the legendary 1893 Columbian Exposition series – the first commemorative issue ever released by the United States.

This stamp features Columbus’s three ships — the Niña, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria — sailing across the Atlantic, beautifully engraved in rich blue.

Condition: Mint, no gum (or hinge-remnant gum)

Gum Status: Disturbed original gum with hinge remnants

Centering: Fine to very fine

Light creasing in corner area

Handwritten pencil marks from previous collector on back
