1897 Germany Poster Stamp Saxon-Thuringian Industry & Trade Exhibition, Leipzig Advertising By The Publishing House Adolph Schumann Leipzig Unused No Gum. We know very little about Adolph Schumann (* ca. 1860, † 1926) today, although according to contemporary sources he must have been a respected member of the Leipzig book trade. He owned several publishing houses, his most successful company was the Bibliographical Institute , which he acquired in 1900 from the Berlin-based Magnus Warschauer and which also published Julius Verne's travel novels.
