German Stenographers’ Association Gabelsberger 1868-1908.Unused No Gum This German Commemorative Poster Stamp Honors Franz Xaver Gabelsberger, The Inventor Of German Stenography, Also Known As The Gabelsberger Shorthand System. The Stamp Features A Green Portrait Of Gabelsberger Framed By An Ornamental Art Nouveau Arch With Stylized Motifs At The Top. Above The Portrait, The Text Identifies Him As “Gabelsberger, Erfinder Der Deutsch. Stenographie” (Gabelsberger, Inventor Of German Stenography).
