1909 Netherlands Poster Stamp 100th Anniversary Of Tilburg As A City Exhibition July 15–August 8 MNH Light Corner Bend Lower Left SideThis Poster Stamp Was Issued In 1909 To Commemorate The 100th Anniversary Of Tilburg Being Granted City Rights, Celebrated With A Large Exhibition Held From July 15 To August 8, 1909. The Design, Printed In A Single Blue Tone, Features Tilburg’s Urban And Industrial Identity At The Dawn Of The 20th Century. At The Top, The Word “Tilburg” Is Displayed Between Decorative Elements, Including Tools Symbolizing Industry. Beneath It Stands A Stylized Representation Of City Towers, Surrounded By Two Banners With The Dutch Inscriptions “100-Jarig Bestaan Van Tilburg” (100th Anniversary Of Tilburg) And “Als Stad 15 Juli–8 Aug.” (As A City July 15–August 8).
