1912 Germany Poster Stamp Agricultural, Forestry, And Trade Exhibition Braunschweig From June 7 To September 4 Unused Most Original Gum Remaining Missing Piece Upper Left CornerThis German Poster Stamp Was Issued In Connection With The “Land- Und Forstwirtschaftliche Sowie Gewerbe-Ausstellung” (Agricultural, Forestry, And Trade Exhibition) Held In Braunschweig From June 7 To September 4, 1912. The Stamp Features A Monochrome Green Illustration Of A Carved Stone Relief Depicting A Bearded Medieval Figure In Full Relief, Identified As The Famous "Braunschweiger Löwe" Guardian Or Possibly A Representation Of The Mythic “Wild Man,” A Common Motif In German Renaissance Art. The Figure Stands Confidently With One Hand On His Hip And The Other Holding A Staff Or Club, With His Long Beard Flowing Down To His Feet.
