Unused Some Original Gum Hinge RemnantThis 1913 Poster Stamp Was Issued In Leipzig, Germany To Commemorate “Kornblumentag,” Or “Cornflower Day,” A Popular Patriotic And Charitable Fundraising Event That Originated In The German-Speaking World During The Early 20th Century. The Design, Executed In An Ornamental Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) Style, Shows A Silhouetted Female Figure Reaching Out Toward Falling Cornflowers Against A Deep Blue Field, Framed In Embossed Gold.
