1914 Belgium Poster Stamp International Sports Exhibition Ostende Unused No Gum This Belgian Poster Stamp Was Issued To Promote The 1914 Exposition Internationale Des Sports (International Sports Exhibition) Held In Ostende (Ostend), A Prominent Coastal City And Resort On The North Sea. The Design Features A Dynamic Maritime Scene With A Large White Seagull In Mid-Flight Above The Waves, Symbolizing Coastal Activity And Freedom. A Red Buoy Bearing The Name “Ostende” Rises From The Water In The Foreground, While The Word “Sports” Is Stylized As Though Floating In The Sea.
