1916 WW I Great Britain Poster Stamp Remember Edith Cavell Murdered October 12, 1915 Unused Slight Thin. Nurse Cavell, an English woman was running a Belgian hospital when the Germans invaded at the beginning of WW1. At her trial she admitted to rescuing 200 allied servicemen.
